Star Trek's Spock, Leonard Nimoy, is suffering chronic lung disease likely brought on by a lifetime of smoking, despite stopping the killer habit when he was in his 50's, more than 30 years ago.

Nimoy has chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), a collective term for diseases such as emphysema and chronic bronchitis.

It is reported the majority of COPD cases are brought on by cigarette smoke, and Nimoy has advised his followers on Twitter to "quit now".

Nimoy, approaching his 83rd year, has been seen wheeled in a chair with breathing assisted equipment and is no longer able to make appearances at Star Trek conventions even though he played a small part in the 2013 film Into Darkness, a Star Trek sequel; that's a 46 year stretch of Trekking and he's still loved and adored by millions around the world as Mr Spock.

From the Predictive Data I work with, I cannot see Leonard Nimoy lasting much longer at all. He is under a terminal pattern of Coding, and although it is well publicised he is unwell, his downward spiral started 3 years ago when he turned 80.

William Shatner, AKA Captain Kirk, has strong indicators from his Profile Data that something very impacting and emotional is affecting him at the same time. It is likely Leonard may only have two or three months based on the collective information I have looked at.

If Nimoy is to have his time on Earth prolonged, it will only be due to medical intervention, and from that standpoint, where is his quality of life?

Leonard, Mr Spock, you have brought a great deal of joy to millions of people and I am sure I speak for those when I say, Live Long and Prosper in the hereafter.

Trekkers everywhere salute you.
